Then and Now - 84 Years of Passenger Service
By: Marie F., Delta Archivist, Atlanta
Celebrating our 84th anniversary of passenger service today! Since 1929, we’ve grown from a small pioneering crop-dusting company, named for the Mississippi River Delta region we served. We were the first to fly across the Deep South. Today, we fly a global network serving over 160 million customers each year. From small monoplanes to today’s long-range jets, we are proud to count 84 years of bringing “Safe, Swift, Clean and Comfortable” air travel to you!
