Fork & the Road // Wine Country Favorites
By Andrew Zimmern, Delta Sky Contributing Editor
In the latest issue of Sky, I write about Manresa, one of my favorite restaurants in California’s wine country. Here are a couple other NorCal eateries to try.
The restaurant at the day-spa and resort Solage Calistoga is located on the Silverado Trail at the north end of Napa Valley—where the hot springs and wine scene draw health geeks and culinarians alike. French Laundry alum Brandon Sharp’s menu caters to both sets. Items such as the beloved fish tacos and seared local sardines with pine nut-currant relish blur the lines between healthy and delicious. If you’re in an indulgent mood, order the donuts off of its “secret” menu.
For a more casual meal, you can’t beat Oenotri. The brainchild of chefs Tyler Rodde and Curtis Di Fede, the restaurant features rustic southern Italian food made with California’s best ingredients, many from Oenotri’s own 4-acre farm. Go for anything on the menu with lamb—these guys are savants with the meat.

Delta serves the NorCal wine country via San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Oakland.
