Every Day We’re Shuttling: On Board Offerings From LYFE Kitchen And More!
By: Taking Off
We already provide more than 160 million customers with quality travel experiences. That’s why we’re so excited to launch the Delta Shuttle for the West coast and offer nonstop, hourly service between Los Angeles and San Francisco International airports. This new service will provide you with convenient travel options between key business markets and the amenities you expect.
Starting September 3, Shuttle customers will enjoy complimentary in-flight beverages from Sierra Nevada Brewing Co, craft beer, Starbucks coffee, and wine from Wente Vineyards. Delta is also taking the snacks on Shuttle flights to new heights with the introduction of new onboard offerings from LYFE Kitchen, a California-based lifestyle food brand, offering great-tasting, good-for-you foods.
LYFE Kitchen is a tasty, nutrient dense and health conscious brand founded on the principle that people should love their food—how it tastes, what it does for their health, and how it supports a more sustainable planet. In order to take healthful foods to new heights, San Francisco-based Chef John Mitchell, the creative force behind many of LYFE Kitchen’s offerings, created a unique menu to provide Delta customers.
What makes LYFE Kitchen different? It’s revolutionary in its approach to enjoying nutritious food, striving to change the way Americans eat one bite at a time. LYFE Kitchen meals are completely free of artificial ingredients and trans fat and flavored with only spices—no butter, cream or preservatives. Our customers will enjoy a complimentary morning or afternoon snack provided by LYFE Kitchen from a rotating menu that includes:
• Multi seed muffin with fresh fruit, Chia ricotta, and rosemary almonds
• Multi seed muffin with sunflower seed butter and fresh fruit
• Edamame hummus with fresh vegetables and pita chips
• Herb aioli with pita chips and fresh vegetables
• And more!
The Delta Shuttle on the West coast will offer 14-daily flights, Monday through Friday, departing at the top of the hour beginning at 7 a.m. Customers will also enjoy complimentary newspapers, access to in-flight Wi-Fi, and check-in as close as 30 minutes prior to departure. To accommodate business travelers, Delta has tailored the shuttle to be a productive experience for our customers.
The introduction of the Delta Shuttle is part of major investments we have made in the west coast market. We’ve partnered with the City of Los Angeles and Los Angeles World Airports to invest $229 million to overhaul Terminal 5 at Los Angeles International Airport—a project that should be completed by 2015.
We’d like to know how the new Delta Shuttle for the West coast will improve your travels. Are you excited to try it out?
