Taking a Ride to end HIV/AIDS
By: Tricia R., Manager - Delta Community Affairs, NYC
Kiehl’s Since 1851 embarked on its 4th LifeRide for amfAR, spanning 9 days from Seattle to Los Angeles. Inspired by Kiehl’s history with motorcycles, spirit of adventure and philanthropic heritage, the ride was led by Chris Salgardo, President Kiehl’s USA and Kevin Robert Frost, amfAR CEO, riding with ten fellow riders eager to join the fight against HIV/AIDS, including actors John Corbett and Gilles Marini. With a mission to heighten awareness and raise funds for amfAR, the riders celebrated with the public at seven Kiehl’s retail stores along the Pacific Northwest route. At each stop, the public was invited to meet the riders, learn more about amfAR and donate.
The ride culminated in amfAR’s Global Fundraising Chairman, Sharon Stone, accepting a check for the full donation to amfAR at the LifeRide Finale at the Grove in LA. Kiehl’s has donated a total of $125,000 over the course of the ride.
Key partners include: Harley-Davidson Authorized Rentals and Delta Air Lines.
You can still support amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS research by donating at www.kiehls.com or at your local Kiehl’s store.
Delta is the official airline of amfAR. Help make a difference by donating miles through the Delta SkyWish program.
