Inside Delta // Painting for the Kids
By: Todd L, Delta Global Sales, Atlanta
Recently, Global Sales team members from Delta and key airline partners met in New York City for the 2013 Global Sales Conference, where the theme of the three-day meeting was “Be a Part of It.” That theme was clearly echoed in the conference attendee’s support of Delta’s Force for Global Good activities for the American Red Cross of Greater New York, Food Bank for New York City and the Foundation for Hospital Art.
A large portion of the day’s activities consisted of a massive painting festival where more than 900 attendees of Delta’s Global Sales conference volunteered to paint 20 murals that will be hung in the hallways of local New York City-area hospitals.
“It is in the DNA of every Delta employee to give back to the communities we have the privilege and honor to serve,” noted Delta’s Bob Somers, vice president—Global Sales and Foundation for Hospital Art Board member. “The passion of Delta people was never more evident than here, working side by side with our Sales colleagues from around the globe, to create these works of art. It was a day many of us will never forget and we are thrilled to donate these paintings to a wonderful New York hospital.”
