Discover Delta // Protecting “The Spirit of Delta”
By: Taking Off
Many of you may know the story of the aircraft known as “The Spirit of Delta.” In 1982, after Delta suffered financial losses, employees raised $30 million in payroll deductions to purchase the company’s first Boeing 767. Today, “the Spirit of Delta” lives in the Delta Flight Museum and is normally available to be toured. However, with renovations to the museum underway, the “Spirit” has been wrapped tightly to protect its iconic livery. We hope you’ll come visit even while we work on the museum, and certainly after it is completed in June of 2014.
