Non-Rev Challenge // Employees Raise Over $12K for United Way
By: Daniel Ketchel, project leader-Global New York
The Non-Rev Challenge is an annual philanthropic event for Delta Air Lines’ partnership with United Way. From September through November, Delta employees from around the world competed in a two-part challenge: a photo scavenger hunt to get creative snapshots in a variety of famous spots around the world, and a pledge challenge to see who can earn the most donations based on photo items completed during the event.
This year, the contestants collectively raised over $12,000 for the United Way! After all of the jet setting, eating, singing and dancing around the world the 2013 Non-Rev challenge team “TheBackpack Buddies” emerged on top.
Our winning team from the Chisholm, Minn., Reservations Customer Engagement Center logged 1,621 points and tackled 67 of 80 challenges in the travel-based contest. Team members will each receive travel prizes to continue their global journeys.
We look forward to next year and hope to raise even more funds and continue to send our employees to the wonderful destinations Delta offers.
