Burn off queso consumption at this Austin-based boutique fitness studio that features full body workouts, which strengthen both body and mind. Instructors motivate, inspire and challenge guests to break fitness barriers during the 45-minute, high-intensity sessions.
Francophiles shouldn’t miss the latest venture from beloved local chef Andrew Curren (24 Diner, Easy Tiger Bake Shop & Beer Garden). In his newest venture he partners with his wife, pastry chef Mary Catherine Curren, to serve a casual French menu that includes grilled quail, a flawless croque monsieur, and a fragrant herb salad and dark chocolate pot de crème.
Executive Chef Josh Watkins’ passion for fresh, sustainable and seasonal ingredients are served in an elegant setting reminiscent of the historical architecture on the university campus. Go for the Thai cured hamachi with puffed rice, mint oil, black garlic barbecue, cilantro and basil.
Chef Bryce Gilmore’s beloved trailer (that first put him in the national spotlight) has transformed into a brick and mortar restaurant with a wood-fired oven and intensely local, shareable plates. Try boudin grits with pickled shrimp, grilled olive and fried pig skin, or charred broccoli with scrambled egg, sorrel and apple.
