Inside Delta // Boston Strong

My name is Andre Slay. I am a runner, a devoted Delta employee, a pilot in training and an amputee running the 2014 Boston Marathon. I’m also a dreamer. I dream of flying planes, motivating others and running marathons, and under Delta’s umbrella, I am making these dreams a reality.
A year ago, I would have never imagined that I would be standing here today, with the thought of crossing the finish line at the Boston Marathon in my rear view mirror. I began my journey at Delta three years after the motorcycle accident that claimed my foot and left me as an amputee. For the past four years I have worked as an airport customer service agent in Little Rock, where I have received countless support and encouragement from my coworkers and manager to pursue my dream of running in the 2014 Boston Marathon.
I have truly fallen in love with my job and with the support of Delta, my teammates and my co workers I hope that I can continue to inspire people and show others that they can do anything no matter the odds.
