Destination Inspiration // Haiti

Haiti has much to offer to adventurous travelers. From its culture, monuments and history, to the spirit of its people and the incredible art and food that can be found from coast to coast, Haiti has it.
Begin in Port-Au-Prince—a city in the process of reconstruction after the 2010 earthquake. At the Musée du Panthéon National Haïtien you will behold treasures like the anchor of the Caravel of Christopher Columbus, the Santa Maria among other relics of a time when Haiti was known as the Pearl of the Caribbean.
There are some must visit places, such as Citadelle Laferrière, a large mountaintop fortress in northern Haiti, the largest fortress in the Americas and was designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a World Heritage Site in 1982—along with the nearby Sans-Souci Palace.
